Baby Blessings

This personalized service honors your family’s values and the deep connection you share with your little one. Through words of affirmation, symbolic rituals, and blessings of love and support, I create a ceremony that reflects your hopes and dreams for your child’s journey. Whether you seek a simple, intimate gathering or a joyful celebration with loved ones, a non-religious baby blessing provides a sacred space to welcome, affirm, and bless your child in a way that resonates with you.
Weddings
I have officiated at over 150 weddings. Non denominational wedding officiant services are my specialty. Whether you prefer a civil ceremony, a completely secular non denominational ceremony, a traditionally religious ceremony or something in-between, I establish a warm, safe and joyful environment where you are free to create a beautiful and meaningful wedding experience with each other. NON DENOMINATIONAL, CIVIL OR TRADITIONAL, IT’S YOUR CEREMONY. IT WILL BE BEAUTIFUL. Are you and/or your spouse-to-be one of the many people who consider themselves spiritual but not religious? You’re my people! I am a non denominational wedding officiant. I am also an ordained Unity minister. I understand the importance of ritual and how ritual can add meaning to your special moments. When you marry, you want a wedding ceremony which is memorable and which includes a sense of the sacred. You may have a desire to incorporate some of the wording of a traditional ceremony, such as “Dearly beloved, we are gathered…” and “you may kiss the bride” . You may prefer to include secular words which are more reflective of you. Together we will custom design a beautiful and sacred wedding ceremony which suits your values, which reflects who you are and what matters to you. If you want to write your own vows or add something unique to your wedding ceremony, I can support you with ideas and wording suggestions. If your choice is a basic civil ceremony, I will use the ceremony outlined by the province of BC. Whether you choose a non denominational, civil or traditional wedding ceremony, rest assured that it will be beautiful.
Funerals and
Celebrations of Life
Non denominational funerals, memorials or celebrations of life are beautiful ways to say farewell to someone you treasure. Rev. Rhona Segarra honours your faith as you mourn the loss of a loved one. An ordained Unity minister, Rev. Rhona will work with you to create a celebration of life ceremony that suits your secular, spiritual or religious preferences.
Services may be held at a funeral home, at a private home or a public location. If you prefer a church setting, Rev. Rhona is the minister at Unity of New Westminster Spiritual Community, which accommodates 100 people.
Funeral fees begin at $400 and include meeting with the family in advance, preparation of a personalized memorial service and officiating at the ceremony. Please contact Rhona for more information.
